It\u2019s for us to open our wisdom. We should not always ask Quan Yin Bodhisattva or Tathagata Buddha for favors. We have to be a Quan Yin Bodhisattva instead. We should always try to be a Quan Yin Bodhisattva, try our best to attain sainthood in order to deliver beings from suffering. Otherwise, Quan Yin Bodhisattva is alone with countless sentient beings who keep praying to Her, then isn\u2019t that very pitiful? As disciples, why don\u2019t we have compassion? Just Her alone, how pitiful! She has to shoulder people from \u00c2u L\u1ea1c, China, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, all kinds of people. Everyone from Buddhist countries prays to Quan Yin Bodhisattva. But no one wants to practice to become a Quan Yin Bodhisattva or to reach Her attainment in order to share with Her the karmic burdens and Her work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2728So if you say you truly go to temple, you must study. If you truly go to church, you must try to find the priest and ask them thoroughly. That\u2019s the meaning of going to temple or to church. Temples or churches were originally built for people to come and study the Truth and meditate in peace. Because the outside world is chaotic, so sometimes people can\u2019t meditate peacefully. A temple should be a place for meditation, a meditation center. Nowadays, temples are usually just a place for young people to come, dressing up and looking nice. Just burning a few incense sticks, offering a few fruits. That\u2019s all and say, \u201cI went to the temple!\u201d And then go home. They don\u2019t learn anything more before and after going to the temple. So what\u2019s the use? They don\u2019t even know whether the Buddha on that altar will grant them what they wish for. They just pray. He answers or not, it doesn\u2019t matter. They just go home. When you wish for something, you have to wait for the answer, no? He hasn\u2019t answered, then why do you run home? That\u2019s a waste of your fruits, really. Now I suggest every time you go to the temple to worship the Buddha, wait for Him to open His mouth first before you go home. \ud83d\udd14Many, like they say they are Christian, they\u2019re Buddhist, they don\u2019t need to do anything. They don\u2019t need to follow any Master, because they have Jesus and they worship Buddha and they think that\u2019s enough. No, not really, because your mind will trick you, will make you wander around all over. You cannot really concentrate on the Buddha alone. The Buddha in the Amitabha Sutra, He explained that if you recite the name of the Amitabha Buddha sincerely, one-pointedly\u2026! How often can you be one-pointed? One-pointedly, and have to remember all the details of the Buddha\u2019s Land, the Amitabha Buddha\u2019s Land, that Shakyamuni Buddha has described. Remember all that, and remember Buddha, don\u2019t think of anything else. Then you will be born in His Land. The same with the Christian people. They think they go to the church singing, and then go next door drinking some alcohol and coffee or whatever afterward, and go home and eating the meat that is killed for them already on the table and\u2026 They\u2019re not going anywhere, sweetheart. Truly, I am very sorry. I have to tell you the truth. It\u2019s like that. Because this world, they distract you. The world distracts you. You understand? (Yes, Master.) You can\u2019t just remember all the time to be good and virtuous. And just to eat meat is already a great sin.
